Episode 025
You are capable of WAY more than you think
with Heather Sweeney
Heather Sweeney spent the majority of her life (the first 30 years) living the way she thought she was supposed to live. Living based on what other people told her she should be doing.
The last 10-13 years, she's been creating the life (step by step) that she knows is right for her, and she's never going back.
Heather grew up playing the sports and doing the jobs that everybody else in her family did. These were familiar to her and were relatively easy, so the chance of failing was almost zero.
This mindset and lifestyle continued after college and Heather spent 13 years in financial services. She even joked with her coworkers, "Why am I even here? I want to be in healthcare." And it's true. Heather wanted to explore a career as a registered nurse but didn't pursue it because she was in a familiar, stable job with lots of opportunity to grow and everybody around her told her she was doing the right thing.
Why would she leave that? Why would she change?
Because she knew the life she was living wasn't hers.

What mental fitness is and why it is so important
