Episode 026
How gratitude can completely changed your perspective on life
with Sharon Saraga Walters
Sharon Saraga Walters is one of the most positive people I’ve ever met, and she credits this to her dedication to personal growth work, exercise, and gratitude.
She has over 35 years of experience operating her own businesses in health and wellness – she’s been a Certified Massage Therapist for over 30 years and founded Graticise 365 almost 10 years ago.
Her passion for exercise and gratitude has led her to author three books:
The 28 Day Gratitude Workout – a daily introduction to practicing gratitude
Thursday’s Note – a commitment to writing a Thank You note every Thursday for one year
Graticise 365 – a deep dive into creating your own daily graticise routine
At 62 years old, Sharon enjoys life with her wife in Lakewood, Colorado – they moved there 4 years ago after Sharon had spent her entire life in Florida
In this episode, Sharon talks about:
What "Graticise" is all about and why she started it
How gratitude affects her perspective on life and why she’ll never give it up
A dark time she experienced in the 90s and how a technique called “mirroring” helped her move forward
Living in Florida for 58 years – her family, friends, and business
How moving to Denver helped her realize she’d been living in her comfort zone for so long
Why she was so unsettled living in Denver for the first 6 months
How a “1-year trial period” in Denver turned into “maybe we’ll do this again!”
How the move to Denver sparked your creativity and inspired her to try new things
Why the support she received from her wife helped her along the path of self-discovery
